Transfigured Night
Presentation
Two people walk through the darkness. One carries a secret; the other chooses to listen. From this journey emerges an intimate transformation: in Schoenberg’s Transfigured Night, forgiveness does not erase anything — it transforms. It opens another path, where love becomes a force of emancipation and the possibility of a new beginning.
Around this incandescent work, Schubert, Glière, Purcell and Vivaldi reveal other facets of desire, fear, solitude and the impulse towards the other. The centuries answer one another, each becoming another stage along the same inner journey.
On stage, six musicians become six presences, six trajectories. They move closer, drift apart, search for one another and find one another again. Between shadow and light, solitude and togetherness, the music traces a journey that leads nowhere in particular, but towards another way of being oneself through another.
You have made a child of me.
